Ingredients1 1/2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium carrot, diced
1 rib celery, diced
8 ounces smoked ham, diced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1/2 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
cayenne pepper (optional)
chopped fresh chives for garnish (optional)
